Hey,

I thought I'd start a painted To'ok thread. Feel free to post your own pics or send them to me and I'll add them.

Some of these pics are from prototype castings so they maybe differ from the productions ones a little. I thought it would be still good to include them to show how the different colors look.

Smile , Be sure to post some pics once they are painted. I'm painting some up at the moment with more of the soon to be released jump/rocketpacks. Its interesting to see everyones different takes.

Here's some wip pics of a heavily weathered To'ok in combat armor and rocketpack. I've still got some little bits to cleanup and his base to finish.

All C&C are welcome

yeah Very Happy

I really enjoyed painting him up though there's a fine line between weathered and messy! (I'm not sure if i've found it)

He was surprisingly quick to do , paint silver, dry, paint tan yellow, dry a little then wipe back, black wash, some highlights/ a bit of brownwash on the legs. The extra colors on his armor just did the same way.

Fluff-wise most of the combat suits are really old and are heirlooms. The army has some too but they are normally a lot plainer and aren't always kept in good condition.

I figure some families would maintain them in as new condition whereas others would prefer the "our ancestors fought in this" look. This figure has the "Our family have been having their butt kicked for centuries" look Very Happy

On my list of things to get. That last guy reminds me of Black scorpions pirates, hooks and missing legs

About the captain hook character - he is different from the squad leader and the commander isn't he? Is he being released?

Hey,

He's the original version of the current squad officer. The differences are the current one has two different weapons (with his right arm being separate so he can swap weapons with the other officers/radioman) .

I've also changed his shoulder pads and his back banner and jumppack connection points on his back.

Josh may have some castings of the original one i'm not sure, If you want one I would just shoot him a pm.

I've put a parts picture of the 1st release up on that thread so you can see how the current Jnr officer breaks up. The original one is 1 piece.
