I bought a few packs of Netherworld's Edge miniatures at Kublacon and joined the kickstarter. In the meantime I've painted up a couple and have started using them as crewmen for ork artillery in my games of 40K. Smile

Thanks. Smile The miniatures have so far received a good reception from the people I've been gaming with. I'm looking forward to trying out the Netherworld's Edge rules when I get my hands on them from the kickstarter. One of my regular opponents has expressed an interest in trying them out.

I did a back story thing on my little blog explaining why anthropomorphic mice have been cooperating with my 40K orks.

Once I get enough of them painted, I might also proxy them for Iroquois, etc. and try out some Fantasy Muskets & Tomahawks or some other 18th Century historical game.

It has been quite awhile but I've been painting a few mice again. I've still only used them as Artillery Mice in 40K, but they've earned a much feared reputation as experts at their trade and empires tremble at their furry greatness. Smile They also have the advantage of being WYSISWG, because in 40K Ork artillery grots only have a close combat weapon and no firearms.

The picture I took with my phone makes them look a little glossier than they really are in person. I used a gloss coat to protect them and then dulled it down with a matte varnish. I've learned from hard experience I have to do that for metal mini's I use in games.

The Doctor Seuss background is courtesy of my friend's first grader, who made it for me once I explained the idea of miniature games and terrain to her. I'm hoping to indoctrinate her into mini games over the next few years since her mother is encouraging her to do arts and crafts stuff, and she likes board games.

Saw these over on facebook - love 'em! Hadn't noticed the white facepaint on the lead ranger, very cool.

Thanks. When I was painting him the idea was for it to be a contrasting patch of fur, but I agree that it does look more like face paint. (So do many others, who have commented in other places where I've posted the pictures.)

So I'm thinking when I eventually get to the mice with bows I might try and intentionally do some face paint. Smile
