That's really well done!
It's better than the WH40K movie even though it is only 1:30 long...

And we now have an airship for visual reference for our scratch builds! Very Happy

Great movie, I particularly liked discovering how Quar move - that adorable waddle!

Oh, you're all good kids, so why not?
This is Coftyran. Therefore it is way more sophisticated than your average aircraft on Alwyd.
(Right now those are just giant bogens as guns, you have to take shortcuts to get done sometimes! I will replace them with 'real' guns for the book and any future models.)

I like those planes, they kind of remind me of the vanships from the Last Exile anime.

Hmmm I wonder what I could use as a base to make one of those? Any suggestions?

This springs to mind... but it might be too large? On reflection - I'm hoping you meant base - rather than a base model... Confused

Definitely base model rather than base for a model. My initial thought was chopping up a spitfire kit but looking at it again not so sure...

I promise to try and do a 15mm version this summer. Could still be used on a 28mm table. Its just high up!

Pity - I'm a 28mm Quar junkie.

I can see the Crusaders with a 'Pusher' model. Smile

I like the planes. Although I will probably not play them they would be interesting as terrain pecies for SoA.

How about these old 1/48 Testors/Hawk kits?

Curtis R3C-2

Laird Solution Racer

IMHO these might lend themselves as a nice base to start from. A bit of google-fu is needed, though:

http://www.oldmodelkits.com/index.php?detail=17344&page=4&manu=Hawk

Or if you want to go back further (in technology) la "Those magificent Quar in their flying machines":

http://www.oldmodelkits.com/index.php?detail=13435&manu=Pyro&scale=1/48
A nice mount for Terry Tokker.

Freddy Fidwog might get aloft in this one.
