A little preview of the Ylark. A sacred beast used by the Elvorix in battle typically by riling it up and setting it loose to rampage around the field smashing into things.
Sometimes they light it on fire first.

Not for sale. Yet!
(Yes, yes, ylark painted by me. I haven't painted a figure in years! Rusty.)

Light them on fire? Someone said they were sacred, is this an error? Should I model one of them on fire?

The hooves, horns, eye position, and body proportions make it look herbivorous, and yet those look a little more like fangs than tusks. Are these boar-like or what?

My Ylarks are primed. I want to make the armor bronze so I need to figure out a good fur color to go with that.

Mine overhang their bases front and back. Since Shieldwall requires the bases in close formation I put them both off-center in the hopes of making everything work.

Storage is my other concern. Those banners are going to get bent immediately. I'm thinking of not attaching them and putting them in with blu-tac before play.

One of the spells sets it on fire before you release it. The Ylark then takes a wound each round after that due to being ablaze, but it's wicked fun.

I'm tempted to respond "Holy cow!" but I don't want to get kicked out of these forums. So, instead, "Wow".

They better do a ot of damage when on fire, since you're guaranteed to lose them in four turns. On the other hand, the enemy might be less inclined to "waste" hits on them, since they're going to be gone in a couple turns anyway. More crazy game play.

Modeling-wise, we'll need cotton flames to pop onto the back when they're lit up.

Yes, they have the potential to do a massive amount of damage. You just need to use them right!
