Just a dwarf pipe from Warhammer?

Yup! Super easy conversion but it does snap off really easily so I have to be careful transporting him.

Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks!

I loved the pipe too, so much so that I decided I had to at least try to make it work in 15mm. Not perfect, but I just bent a staple into shape and glued it to one of the 15's snouts and I figured that's about as good as I'm going to get at that scale. Those little 15's are fiddly!

At long last, I've painted my Coftyran snipers!

I can finally field the Crusader sniper and provide my opponent with a force that doesn't make me feel guilty.

Thanks guys!

Here are some pictures of my WIP Crusader trench Ladwr (stats in orkdung's "New Quar Types/Classes" sticky thread).

I'm making three with Moogs (the one pointing his moog one-handed with a pistol in the other will be a yawdryl/is-caerten/caerten) and two with Ptn. 7n shotguns. I'm no good with GS, so I scratch-built the Ptn. 7n's from sprue frames, although obviously they still need some work. I haven't figured out yet how to do the ammo drum on top, and need to do at least a little GS on the side for the opening where the shells eject (I assume that's what that is).

The current plan is to just use the sniper head that has the leather snout cover and goggles, unless I come across something I like better. Plastic arms are from Bolt Action British or German infantry.

Anyways, enjoy!

I just received my snipers and crusaders to start making my Moog carrying trench raiding crusaders, and those Bolt Action arms look to be just the answer to my inability to craft a reasonably posed Quar with a Moog.

Great work consider it inspiring even. Especially now that I'm going to be placing an order for some Bolt Action Brits.

I've never been very good at converting, but these look like they're going to come out nicely. Very Happy

Thanks guys!

I finally finished putting these fellas together, along with a stack of other quar, and got them primed before a big move. Now settled in so hopefully I'll get around to painting soon.

Painted my first quar since relocating to Paris, a test mini for my next SoA squad:

A handful more rhyflers, a musician, a standard, and an H-11a team to (eventually) follow!

1 - The painting, as always, is great.

2 - I must stridently object to you spending time painting whilst living in Paris. Get out of the house, man! Smile
